CCO Executive Leaders

David R. Brewton, our Vice President for Advancement, is committed to raising money and awareness of the CCO so that college students’ lives might be transformed.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Dave first connected to the CCO’s ministry when he attended the Jubilee conference in 1980. What he heard at Jubilee from keynote speaker Tony Campolo played a part in shaping Dave’s vision for his future.

After graduating from UVA, Dave and his wife, Barbara, moved into an inter-racial neighborhood in Pittsburgh, where they still live today. After spending several years serving as Executive Director of an inner-city housing ministry called Breachmenders, he spent the next 14 years as Associate Executive Director of East Liberty Family Heath Care Center. In August of 2010, he transitioned to his current work with the CCO.

“I am excited about coming to use my gifts in fundraising at the CCO,” Dave says. “I really resonate with the mission of the CCO, because throughout my life and career, I’ve seen how Christ has transformed me, how Christ has transformed my neighborhood, and how Christ has transformed the faith-based nonprofits I’ve been privileged to serve. So now I rejoice in being able to help put legs under the mission of transforming college students to transform the world.”

Dave and Barbara have four children, and they live in the West Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh where they are active members of Friendship Community Presbyterian Church.

Everybody on staff at the CCO raises their own financial support, including the executive team. You can support Dave or anybody else on our executive staff by contributing online.
